We are searching for an experienced and highly organised Mining Administrator to be based in Central Queensland (ideally residing somewhere between Emerald and Blackwater). This is a permanent, part time role (around hours per week) based on site at Ensham Mine (near Emerald).
Your role:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the site office and administration function of our mining projects. Key responsibilities include:
* Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the site teams, including responding to phone calls, emails, greeting visitors.
* Coordinate all site equipment mobilisation/onboarding requests for new team members, including booking medicals and scheduling inductions.
* Support our Managers and Supervisors to maintain accurate records using client online systems, including equipment logs, safety reports, and personnel documentation.
* Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, in relation to health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Accounts payable and receivable tasks, raising purchase orders and invoices using Xero.
* Track site inventory, equipment, and supplies, and assist in procurement and logistics.
* Accurate and efficient data entry of the site team timesheets and leave requests into Employment Hero, meeting payroll deadlines.
* Prepare regular reports on site performance, staffing, operational efficiency, and other key metrics.
* Maintain the upkeep, organisation and cleanliness of the site office.
About You:
To be successful in the role you will need the following:
* Minimum of 2 years in a similar administration role, preferably in the mining, manufacturing or related heavy industry.
* A valid and current Australian driver's license with the ability to travel around site as required.
* Positive attitude, reliable and strong work ethic.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being a strong team player.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure in a dynamic environment.
* Intermediate skills in MS Office, experience with Xero and Employment Hero is advantageous.
* Knowledge of mining industry regulations and best practices is also advantageous.
