The role of IT Application Manager involves overseeing the performance reliability and usability of key business applications to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and aligned with current and future business needs.
You will be responsible for managing or overseeing the delivery of major application changes upgrades and system integrations ensuring value to the business.
Identify and implement opportunities to optimise existing applications and business processes through automation configuration or new technologies.
Maintain close working relationships with key departments to ensure systems are aligned with operational needs and strategic goals.
Implement and maintain application governance frameworks including access controls licensing data privacy and audit readiness.
Provide direction and support to internal staff and third-party vendors involved in application development and support.
Work closely with the General Manager - IT to define and execute the applications strategy in line with the broader IT and business strategy.
Degree qualifications in Information Technology ITIL Foundation Agile or Scrum certification BI platform certifications Cloud platform certifications DevOps or Software Development certifications are highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and business acumen to drive technology innovation and transformation.
This role requires a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to deliver business outcomes.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
They will also have experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall and be familiar with software development lifecycles.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field is required along with relevant work experience in IT applications management.
