Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Job Summary:
This is a key role within the Financial Control team, supporting the company's East Coast gas infrastructure assets and broader financial control function.
Responsibilities:
* Complete month-end close activities, including posting journals and reconciliations.
* Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the company's financial records and processes.
* Analyse financial data to provide insights that support decision-making.
* Collaborate with the Finance Assist and Business Partnering teams to streamline financial operations.
* Identify bottlenecks in processes and implement efficiencies to enable earlier month-end close.
* Support ongoing improvements in financial control, consolidation, and automation.
Requirements:
* CA/CPA qualified (or near completion).
* A solid grounding in financial accounting, ideally gained in a Big 4 or large corporate environment.
* A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across teams.
* Experience with Workday, Blackline, or similar systems advantageous, but not essential.
