Facilities Manager
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our Business Services team in Canberra.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the portfolio of leased properties across the Australian business, ensuring facilities maintenance activities comply with lease obligations and statutory regulations. They will also act as the main point of contact for facility-related inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the lease portfolio, including forward planning and execution of new properties and facilities
* Ensure facilities maintenance activities comply with lease obligations, statutory maintenance and safety/environment legislative obligations
* Act as the main point of contact for facility-related inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution
* Management building services and maintenance across the respective facilities including triggering routine maintenance as per the asset register, statutory regulations and lease obligations
* Develop and deliver preventative maintenance schedule, maintenance arrangements and asset register
* Oversee 'soft services' such as cleaning, catering, waste and recycling management, landscaping, and pest control, including contractor management, reporting and service performance monitoring, electrical safety, test and tag
* Supervise projects including capital works, fit out and refurbishments.
* Oversee applicable contractors and external consultants
Requirements:
* Qualifications in facilities management, business administration, or similar and demonstrated experience in facilities management, specifically in the management of 'soft services'
* Strong, detailed knowledge and demonstrated experience in building operations, and facilities and asset maintenance
* Significant experience and knowledge of contemporary facilities management practices, facilities operations, contracts management, health and safety practices in the workplace
* Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, communication and problem solving skills
* A willingness to undertake domestic work related travel
