**About the Role**
The Arts, Heritage and Libraries Branch enlivens and enriches the lives of residents and visitors through the provision of library services, creative, cultural and heritage programs.
As an Events Officer for Festivals and Events you will promote and strengthen community wellbeing through the delivery of council sponsored community and arts events, programs and activities by providing excellence in customer service; and coordinate and deliver council civic and community events that promote a positive image of council and increase community identity.
**About you**
As an Events Officer, lead the supervision of contractors and volunteers in the implementation od events.
You will provide administrative support in the coordination and timely delivery of events, including preparation of relevant documentation and record keeping, finance support (order preparing and receipting), data base maintenance and meeting support services, while maintaining council's online and physical event resources including the equipment and banner booking register, Events Hub and events desk as required.
You will be coordinating civic and community events and activities (1500 - 5000 attendees) which fall during business hours, afterhours and weekends as required.
As a requirement of this role, you will possess a Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field such as Event Management, Tourism, Public Relations, Business or Creative Industries, or relevant industry experience.
You will possess a Current "C" Class Drivers License.
You will have strong time management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to resolve problems and follow tasks through to completion accurately and on time.
You will have demonstrated leadership ability to competently supervise event staff and volunteers.
