We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our growing automotive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the efficient operation of our workshop.

As the primary liaison between customers and our technicians, you will play a vital role in coordinating vehicle servicing and repairs, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring every customer receives a positive service experience from booking through to vehicle collection.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Consultation

* Greet customers professionally and build positive relationships.
* Listen to and accurately document customer vehicle concerns and repair requests.
* Provide expert advice on vehicle servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
* Translate technical information from technicians into clear, easy-to-understand language for customers.

Service Coordination & Scheduling

* Schedule and coordinate vehicle service and repair appointments.
* Open and manage repair orders from commencement through to completion.
* Develop repair plans and coordinate workshop scheduling to maximise efficiency and productivity.
* Liaise with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services.
* Liaise with Parts to ensure timely lead times for suitable parts.

Estimating, Quoting & Warranty Administration

* Prepare accurate service and repair estimates, including parts and labour costs.
* Obtain customer approvals prior to commencing work.
* Manage warranty claims and associated documentation.
* Identify and communicate any additional repair or maintenance requirements.

Customer Communication & Relationship Management

* Provide regular updates on vehicle progress and expected completion times.
* Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
* Conduct follow-up communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation.
* Finalise repair orders and prepare detailed customer invoices.
* Process payments and cash sales transactions.
* Ensure all services rendered and associated costs are clearly communicated to customers.

Workshop Performance Support

* Monitor workshop productivity and service delivery outcomes.
* Support the achievement of customer satisfaction and operational performance targets.
* Work collaboratively with technicians, parts personnel, and management to improve workshop efficiency.

About You

* Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing automotive role.
* Strong understanding of automotive systems, parts, and repair processes.
* Mechanical knowledge or trade background (highly regarded).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
* Experience preparing quotations, repair orders, and invoices.
* Knowledge of warranty processes and workshop administration.
* Proficiency using automotive service management software (Auto-it).
* Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first approach.
* Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.
