About the Role
The City of Sydney Library provides a space for our vibrant communities to grow, learn, connect and create. The nine branches offer a key front-line service in the community for local residents, students, visitors, tourists and workers.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer‐focused and motivated Library Technician to join the City of Sydney library team.
Responsibilities
* Deliver an exceptional customer experience to the community.
* Support and contribute to the development of digital literacy, readers advisory and other programs for our diverse communities.
* Support Team Leader and Librarian in daily operations and branch compliance.
* Contribute to projects that support continuous improvement in collections, programming, and technology.
Qualifications
* Experience in providing high quality customer service to all members of the community.
* Excellent digital literacy skills and experience with library collections.
* Effective communication and diplomacy skills.
* Experience in the delivery of digital literacy programs and projects, or community engagement initiatives.
* Willingness and preparedness to undertake work across any of the nine City branches as required.
Work Arrangement
This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
The recommended applicant must complete a pre‐employment health declaration, medical assessment, and working with children check.
