Now looking for a part time Sample Library Assistant to support the team 1 day a month. In this role you will ensure that the Sample library is well organised and maintained. The Sample Library Assistant must demonstrate a strong attention to detail and good communication skills to liaise with various members of the team. The Role could suit a student, graduate or person seeking to return to the workplace on a part time basis.
Key Responsibilities
Sample preparation (penning, felting, adding labels) Training will be available for this.
Label making using an existing InDesign template. Training will be available for this.
Putting samples away in our sample library in the correct order/ location and using a barcode at the back of each sample to find out the stock levels noted in the London studio via a mobile App version of our sample database and to adjust records accordingly
Generating Reports from the sample database; and communicating to the relevant members of the team to remind them to follow up with the clients/ Interior Designers etc that they have lent samples out to
Assisting the Project Managers/ Sales team to prepare and post out samples to clients
Advising on when the studio will need to order more materials for sample preparation
General upkeep and maintenance of the sample library
Skills and Experience
Excellent organisational skills
Problem solving skills and mind-set
Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
Ability to work in a small team setting
Basic InDesign knowledge desirable but not essential as training will be provided
Good communication and interpersonal social skills
Interest in design industry
