Our team is currently seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Officer to support our procurement activities across various project and operational phases.
Role Overview:
As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for sourcing goods, services, and contractors to support our hydroelectric operations.
You will ensure that procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets, and sustainability goals.
You will also work closely with engineering, construction, finance, and legal teams to maintain compliance and foster strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure materials, equipment, and services in line with company requirements.
Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate supplier responses, and manage tender processes.
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and contractors.
Draft, review, and manage purchase orders and supplier contracts.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting systems.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
Support budgeting and cost control efforts by ensuring competitive pricing.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast procurement needs.
Contribute to supplier prequalification, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, ideally within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
Experience working in renewable energy, hydroelectric projects, or large-scale construction environments is highly desirable.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
Strong understanding of commercial terms, risk, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
High attention to detail and organizational capability.
Preferred Qualifications:
CIPS certification or working toward it.
Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and best practices.
Experience in sustainable procurement or ESG-focused supply chains.
