About the role
We are seeking an experienced and capable HVAC Technician with a strong background in commercial air conditioning to join our team.
This role offers a combination of hands‐on technical work and involvement in specialised project delivery, particularly within aviation and equipment‐based environments. The position is primarily based at Sydney Airport, supporting both routine service activities and larger installation and commissioning projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, can operate independently, and is looking to develop into broader responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation, setup, and commissioning of commercial air conditioning systems
* Fault finding, servicing, and maintenance across Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and related systems
* Supporting project delivery from installation through to commissioning
* Working closely with clients and site teams to ensure efficient and high‐quality outcomes
* Interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
* Contributing to larger project work as required, including occasional shift work
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualification in Commercial Air Conditioning and/or Refrigeration
* Demonstrated experience in commercial installations and commissioning
* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
* Proven problem‐solving capability with the ability to work autonomously
* Comfortable working on‐site, primarily at Sydney Airport
* Clear communication skills and a practical, solutions‐focused approach
* Reliable, motivated, and committed to delivering high‐quality work
* Electrical licence or additional electrical qualifications
* Experience in aviation, airside environments, or specialised equipment
* Exposure to project work or a demonstrated interest in transitioning into project management
