This role is responsible for overseeing cattle husbandry and feeding programs to support optimal growth, while ensuring the feedlot operates efficiently and at full capacity. You will play a key role in driving strong operational performance and supporting the long‐term success of the business.**What you'll do:*** Lead and coordinate daily operations across the feedlot, ensuring efficient use of people, resources, and infrastructure* Oversee cattle care, feeding programs, livestock movements, and animal health in collaboration with the Livestock and Feedmill Managers* Monitor feed allocation, milling, and delivery to support animal performance and welfare* Support maintenance planning, prioritising breakdowns and preventative maintenance to minimise operational disruption* Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance, OH&S, and environmental policies, promoting a strong safety‐first culture* Manage and develop teams through effective training, capability building, and performance oversight* Coordinate contractors, consultants, and suppliers across livestock, nutrition, maintenance, and manure operations* Oversee paddock, backgrounding, lick block operations, manure sales, and associated logistics* Manage operational costs within budget and contribute to business planning and continuous improvement initiatives* Provide regular reporting, audits, and operational updates to senior management**What you'll bring:*** Proven experience operating and managing a livestock enterprise* Strong knowledge of contemporary animal husbandry and welfare practices* Experience working in, or a solid understanding of, beef feedlot operations and grain‐fed production* Demonstrated leadership capability, with a committed and enthusiastic approach* High computer literacy and confidence working with operational systems and reporting* A current driver's licence* Tertiary qualifications (or progress toward) in agricultural science or a related discipline* Previous management experience within a commercial feedlot environment**What we can offer you:*** Competitive remuneration & allowances* Workhorse and vehicle provided* Service recognition & employee discounts with preferred suppliers* Ongoing training and development, both on-the-job and from external providers#J-18808-Ljbffr
