Senior ERP Business Analyst | Federal Government ERP Uplift Program

The Opportunity
Our client, a Federal Government department, is modernising its enterprise ERP capability through a major transformation program spanning finance, procurement and travel management. We are seeking a Senior ERP Business Analyst to play a critical role in replacing legacy systems with a secure, cloud-based ERP platform.
This is a high-impact role working directly with senior stakeholders, solution architects and delivery teams to define requirements, shape future-state processes and drive "adopt not adapt" ERP principles across the full delivery lifecycle.
Contract: 12 months + 6 month extension
Start: April 2026
Location: Civic ACT (hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Classification: EL1 equivalent
Security: Must hold current or reinstatable Baseline clearance

Key Responsibilities
* Elicit, analyse and document business requirements across finance, procurement and travel management functions
* Define future-state processes and information flows aligned to ERP standard ("adopt not adapt") principles
* Define functional requirements, data requirements and business rules to support configuration and integration
* Support solution design workshops and validate proposed ERP solutions against business needs
* Work alongside development and testing teams to clarify requirements, support build and resolve issues
* Support UAT, business readiness, data validation activities and go-live transition
* Assist with change impact assessment, training inputs, user preparation and operational handover stabilisation

3. Business Process Improvement (BPRE) – Level 4
4. Stakeholder Relationship Management (RLMT) – Level 4
5. Business Modelling (BSMO) – Level 4

Desirable Criteria
* Experience with enterprise reporting, BI or analytics platforms
* Exposure to budgeting, forecasting or performance management processes
* Experience working with data models and financial reporting structures

The ERP Uplift Program seeks to modernise and unify our client's ERP capability by replacing the current toolset with a secure, cloud-based platform. The new ERP platform will address key technical risks, strengthen operational agility and resilience, improve user experience and enable data-driven decision-making.
