About the Role
We are a well-established finance business seeking a highly skilled Senior Conveyancer to join our growing in-house legal team. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive professional to manage high‐calibre residential and commercial transactions from end‐to‐end with a high degree of autonomy.
Reporting to the Principal Lawyer, you will be a key player in a fast‐paced environment, delivering excellence to clients while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-End File Management:Manage the full lifecycle of residential and commercial conveyancing files, including Sales, Purchases and Transfers.
* Settlements:Execute seamless online settlements via PEXA.
* Due Diligence:Conduct comprehensive pre-purchase property reviews and legal research to ensure client protection.
* Stakeholder Liaison:Act as the primary point of contact for clients, real estate agents, lenders, and councils.
* Business Development:Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and referrers to help convert leads into new business.
* Documentation:Draft clear, accurate, and professional legal correspondence and ensure all files meet legislative and procedural compliance.
* Workflow Excellence:Manage approximately 10–15 active files per month, ensuring all deadlines are met with meticulous attention to detail.
What We Are Looking For
* Victorian Conveyancing Experience:3-4 years of hands‐on experience in Victorian conveyancing is required.
* Technical Expertise:Comprehensive knowledge of DOL (Victoria) and proficiency in PEXA.
* Licence Requirement:A Licensed Conveyancer qualification is mandatory for this position.
* Communication:Exceptional legal drafting skills and the ability to explain complex processes to clients simply and professionally.
* Autonomy:A self‐motivated problem‐solver who can run matters independently with minimal supervision.
* Soft Skills:A team player with a "can‐do" attitude, strong multitasking abilities, and a commitment to high‐standard customer service.
* Work Rights:Australian permanent resident status is required for this position.
