Are you a Hardware Electronic Engineer with a firm understanding of design and an understanding of EMC? We currently have two contract opportunities runing through till the end of June, based in West Melbourne working with an industry leader working on cutting edge design and manufacturing projects. In this role you will conduct design for EMC compliance, High-speed digital design and design for manufacturing.
Candidates with a background in electronic / hardware design in a manufacturing field are encouraged to apply.
This role is in the Defence domain but doesn't require you to hold a current security clearance.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the preparation of all relevant documents
* Conduct Design for EMC compliance
* Conduct high-speed digital design
* Design for manufacturing
* Assist the Engineering team with verification and validation test activities. This includes all functional and acceptance tests, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275 and MIL-STD-810 testing.
* Assist the Production team with test equipment, maintenance and technical support.
* Assist the Quality team with product fault diagnosis and repair.
* Conduct integration and system testing
Required skills
* Must have an electrical, mechatronics or robotics engineering degree qualification with a strong understanding of electronic design.
* Must have strong soldering skills and prototyping ability.
* Experience with design for manufacture
* Must have ability to interpret schematics, identify, perform measurements, and execute repairs of components on PCAs.
* Must strong experience with EMC
* Must have experience with Altium EDA package.
Due to the nature of this project candidates will be required to meet international traffic and arms regulations and must hold Australian Citizenship and be eligible for an AGSVA clearance
