About the Role
The OHS Coordinator will support and provide the site and OHS department with safety management systems and initiatives. This includes leading, guiding, and supporting OHS advisors, hygienists, operational leadership, and workers in OHS principles and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of safety management systems and initiatives across the operation.
* Support the site and OHS department in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Contribute to the identification and reduction of risks associated with workplace incidents and hazards.
* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the operation to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or similar field.
* Minimum 2-5 years of leadership experience.
* 7-10 years of experience delivering OHS services in a mining environment - preferably gold.
* Lead experience with incident investigation and reporting models such as ICAM.
* Working knowledge of ISO: 45001 Safety Management Systems.
* Demonstrated understanding and application of relevant legislation.
