WANERA WINE BAR AND RESTAURANT
We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef to join our team.
The Wanera offers relaxed dining 7 days a week with a regularly changing seasonal a la carte menu. Breakfast is available Saturdays and Sundays from 8am.
The Restaurant also offers numerous function areas including a newly renovated outdoor space. Functions include both sit down and cocktail style being served alongside the A la Carte Service.
Responsibilities
* working with the head chef covering all kitchen operations
* day to day opening and closing procedures of the kitchen
* assist the head chef in new daily specials and input into menu development
* food preparation and service
* serving a la carte and function menus
* ensuring appealing plate presentation
* working closely with a small kitchen and front of house team to deliver exceptional quality and service
* ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
The Successful applicant must:
* Hold relevant cookery qualifications and previous experience in a similar role
* Be confident to work on their own as well as in a team environment
* Have effective time management skills
* Have excellent presentation and attention to detail
* Have good communication and organizational skills
* Show creativity and be able to bring new ideas
* Be flexible with your roster and must be available to work nights/weekends/public holidays including Christmas Day and New Years Eve.
