Talent International are currently recruiting for an **EL1 Assistant Director in Provider Engagement** to work for one of our **Australian Federal Government** clients. This position will be a **12 month contract** initially with the view to be extended. This position can be based in either the **Surry Hills** Office or **Campbelltown** Office and will be paying a **daily rate of $600** per day plus superannuation.

**About the Role**
The EL1 Assistant Director Provider Engagement (Labour Hire) is an important team leadership position within this Federal Government organization and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for staff working within the positions assigned Work Area.

The role will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management within the functions. The position will exercise sound decision-making and judgement to produce high level policy advice and operational support.
The EL1 Assistant Director Provider Engagement will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the organizations objectives to "build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme".
The role is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA's interests across a range of forums.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Working closely with key stakeholders including other Federal Government departments, State and Local Government, providers, carers, people with disability and mainstream organisations to address market challenges.
- Developing market capability and capacity to ensure the support needs of participants are met.
- Supporting the development and promotion of resources that enable market development and improving the organisations understanding of the market environment and provider experience, market conditions and challenges.
- Undertaking the role as a contact for key providers whilst supporting provider market and NDIS provider processes, and representing the organisation in discussions with providers, provider peak bodies and industry stakeholders.
- Supporting the development and utilisation of channels to maintain knowledge of policies, processes and market strategies.
- Supporting information sharing activities with key internal stakeholders including national office portfolios (markets, operations and communications) and other business areas.
- Implementing and supporting national engagement strategies intended to develop market and provider maturity.
- Drafting and proof-reading briefs, papers, reports, QoN's, QTB's, TP's and complaint responses.

**Essential Requirements to be successful**:

- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work with competing priorities.
- Problem solving with evidence of critical thinking, decision making and information processing.
- Stakeholder collaboration and engagement
- Adaptability
