Squadron Energy is a leading renewable energy company in Australia that develops, operates and owns renewable energy assets. We are seeking a dedicated Junior Site Operations Manager to join our team at our Victorian Wind Farm Site.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to grow within a leading renewable energy company. As a Junior Site Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations, maintenance coordination, and safety compliance of Squadron Energy's Victorian Wind Farm Site.
The successful candidate will have strong commitment to safety and compliance, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with various teams, and willingness to travel to other office locations and sites as needed. A basic understanding of wind farm operations and maintenance is a plus.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing day-to-day wind farm site operations and maintenance.
* Serving as the local point of contact for plant outages, emergencies, and stakeholder engagement.
* Supervising site contractors and coordinating all plant field activities.
* Performing local and remote operations of the wind farm and substation, including High Voltage (HV) switching.
* Ensuring compliance with site Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) protocols and company safety policies.
* Conducting site inspections, audits, and monitoring operational performance metrics.
* Liaising with the Network Service Provider and Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) regarding plant operations.
* Establishing and maintaining good relations with landowners, local contractors, and community leaders.
* Monitoring and reporting on plant performance, including wind and ambient conditions, SCADA reports, and maintenance schedules.
