This is a Senior Ecologist role that requires expertise in ecological services, project management, and strategic input.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental legislation and biodiversity assessment methods.
* A Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field
* 5–10 years' experience in a similar role
* Accreditation (or eligibility) as a Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) assessor in NSW
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert ecological advice and technical input across environmental projects
* Prepare project reports and manage client contracts
* Lead field assessments and ensure compliance with State and Commonwealth legislation
* Mentor and supervise ecologists and subcontracted professionals
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
Required Skills:
* Strong technical knowledge of systems and procedures relating to the role
* Ability to manage a diverse project portfolio, plan workload, meet deadlines and achieve objectives
* Problem-solving abilities and analysis
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
