Outback Batteries is an Australian‐owned family business with six locations across the Northern Territory, Queensland & South Australia. We are building a strong team culture across our expanding network and are looking for a self‐driven, motivated candidate who will support our values through being a 'One Stop Shop', good old‐fashioned country‐style service, and a team player.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales & Customer Service: Provide excellent, thorough customer service with a willing attitude to provide tailored solutions, address escalated complaints and model best practices for floor staff. Maintain timely and consistent quote turnaround times and follow‐up.
* Management Operations & Finance: Sound knowledge of P&L & KPI's. Be able to manage and oversee the store in the absence of the branch manager. Maintain a positive working environment.
* Product Installation & Advice: Ensure customer satisfaction through sound advice and simple installation of battery products. Able to assist customers with warranty claims and credit returns.
* Inventory Control, Store & Warehouse Operations: Assist the Branch Manager in managing and maintaining correct stocks and stock levels, processing stock orders and inter‐branch orders, tracking and unpacking.
* Store Workshop and Warehouse Housekeeping: Keep daily practices and organisational routines to maintain a clean, safe, hygienic and visually appealing retail environment.

Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years retail or customer service experience.
* Minimum of retail sales experience required to effectively handle face‐to‐face sales interactions and customer inquiries.
* Must hold a current driver's licence.
* Forklift licence (preferred).
* Technical knowledge and experience with 6/12/24/48V systems is a great advantage but is not essential.
* Must be an Australian resident.
* Must be available to work on Saturdays and some public holidays.
