About You
We seek an experienced Writer to work across our principal YouTube channel - EYstreem. The ideal candidate will have experience working within and leading a talented creative team, managing team efficiencies, workloads, and deadlines. They should be able to inspire the audience with innovative and compelling stories.
Your Responsibilities and Skills
1. Leadership and Communication: Manage deadlines and expectations for your team.
2. Efficiency and Productivity: Work closely with our leadership team to create efficiencies and ways of working that maximize creative output.
3. Mentorship: Be the rock and sounding board for your team, guiding them through challenging scripts or aiding them in their creativity.
4. Motivation: Inspire your team through respect and experience.
5. YouTube Metrics Analysis: Analyze key YouTube metrics and analytics to identify successful content elements and areas for improvement, informing storyboard development strategies.
6. Competitor Analysis and Strategy Implementation: Study successful content storylines, styles, and strategies from competitors, integrating effective approaches into storyboard creation to enhance audience engagement.
7. Feedback Implementation: Effectively identify areas of critical feedback to deliver to your team, ensuring alignment with project objectives and vision.
8. Direction for Production Team: Provide clear directions for Set Designers, Animators, Editors, and Actors through scripts and storyboards, guiding them to bring the envisioned content to life effectively.
9. Deadline Management and Organization: Ensure your team adheres to project deadlines and maintain organizational systems to ensure timely completion of storyboard tasks, facilitating smooth project progression.
10. Meeting Participation: Participate in leadership meetings to discuss storyboard progress, provide updates, and collaborate with team members to refine ideas and address any concerns or challenges.
Requirements
11. At least 3+ years of writing and/or leading a creative team.
12. Experience and understanding in YouTube Analytics and key metrics (AVD, CTR, Impressions, etc).
13. Great communication and activeness.
14. Ability to meet and understand deadlines.
15. Experience with improving a team.
16. Knowledge and understanding of Minecraft, social media, and pop-culture trends.
17. Worked with major competitors in this industry previously (Mr. Beast, Prestonplayz, Craftee/LogDotZip, Bionic, xNestorio, Quiff, Donibobes, etc).
18. Experience in other Minecraft/YouTube industry-specific roles (Builder, Editor, Animator, Actor, etc).
