Firsts Girls Hockey Coach
Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School – Keilor East campus, Victoria, Australia
Seasonal role, commencing 23 February to 23 August 2026. Part‐time, contract/temporary.
Estimated 140 hours of work for the season with breaks during school holidays.
The Role
We seek an experienced and dedicated Firsts Girls Hockey Coach to develop players to reach their highest potential. PEGS is a member of the Associated Grammar Schools of Victoria and the Associated Private Schools competition for girls.
The coach leads training twice a week (typically Mondays and Wednesdays after school) and attends Saturday and weeknight games, with additional hours for selections, meetings, feedback, scouting, specialist coaching clinics and trips.
The Successful Applicant Will Have
* Extensive knowledge and experience in playing and coaching hockey.
* Ability to motivate and develop players in a positive and supportive manner.
* Interest in working with children and supporting child safety and wellbeing.
* High‐level time management and communication skills.
* Commitment to child safety, with an understanding of appropriate behaviours for children with diverse needs and backgrounds.
* Level 2 First Aid, or willingness to obtain it.
* Own transport.
* Valid Working With Children Check.
Essential Requirements
* Level 2 / Senior First Aid.
* Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check.
