Role Overview
We are seeking a Claims and Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing and supporting our claims process from beginning to end.
Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing letters and emails to determine the required action on formal claims, complaints, or general enquiries. You will also be responsible for recording and tracking all claims on our systems, responding to claimants by letter or email, and helping guide them through the claims process.
Additionally, you will gather background information and request reports from other departments, search records and systems to understand site conditions and past issues, and have a strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and local government procedures.
You will work closely with other departments, insurers, and sometimes external lawyers to ensure everything is properly documented and actioned. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a background in claims handling and/or risk management, combined with the ability to provide practical, well-informed advice to all departments.
