About us:
The Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) district Audiology Service provides diagnostic audiology services to children and adults referred from the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service and Healthy Hearing program.
About the role:
The position delivers advanced high quality, diagnostic audiology services to infants, children and adults within the CQHHS district to achieve excellence in patient care, education, and research. This includes implementing and monitoring operational activities and leading professional governance activities for the audiology Service. Services are provided across various CQHHS facilities working in a multidisciplinary nature with the ENT and speech pathology departments.
Apply advanced level independent professional judgment regarding the assessment and treatment planning of complex patients.
Foster a culture that delivers safe, patient-centred and compassionate care considering each patient's psychological, social, emotional, spiritual and physical care.
Provide specialised/advanced clinical advice to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying change management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills where necessary.
Supply strategic direction for diagnostic audiology services in accordance with Hospital and Health Service planning and state-wide priorities.
About you:
Possession of a tertiary degree in Audiology from a recognised tertiary institution and eligibility for provisional or full membership with Audiology Australia.
Advanced level clinical expertise and high-level capability to apply knowledge and skills independently to offer high quality, evidence based and patient centred diagnostic audiology services.
Advanced level communication skills and organisational ability including experience in innovative or alternative models of care and complex multidisciplinary team environments.
Ability to provide active leadership in the ongoing development of high-level innovative service improvement and research initiatives, including identifying opportunities for expansion.
Ability to develop, implement and evaluate clinical practices, service models, procedures and protocols.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
17.5% leave loading
