ABOUT THE ROLE
Kilcoy Global Foods currently has permanent opportunities for Mechanical Fitters to join our team in a fast-paced, 24/7 beef production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration, biomass boiler and rendering.
* Preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, with a strong focus on a preventative approach.
* Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance.
* Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis.
* Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed.
* Maintain a strong focus on safety, health and environment.
* Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities.
* Prioritise urgent repairs of equipment.
* Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving.
* Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the plant.
REMUNERATION
* Night Shift $54.71 per hour.
* Day shift $47.10 per hour.
ROSTER
* Night Shift | 16:00 - 04:00hrs.
* Day Shift | 4.00 - 16:00hrs.
* 5 days on, 4 days off then 4 days on, 5 days off.

ABOUT YOU
1. Trade qualifications – Certificate III in Engineering as a minimum.
2. Experience in Maintenance Fitter or Fitter-Mechanic role.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude and great diagnostics for fault finding.
4. Reliable, motivated self-starter.
5. Can-do attitude, focusing on solutions.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent time management skills and communication skills.
8. FMCG or manufacturing environment (highly regarded).
9. Beef slaughter process equipment (highly regarded).
10. Associated downstream offal and rendering plant and equipment (highly regarded).
