The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a local Service Technician to join our service department based out of our Mount Isa facility on an 8 on 6 off roster rotating through day and night shift per swing.
This role will support our customers' operations by performing efficient diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on our range of state-of-the-art mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries.
Your proactive approach to ensuring machine performance will assist our customers to improve their productivity and success, enabling us to expand our customer base in the area and grow the support team.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
* Perform mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
* Provide feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
* Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time records.
* Adhere to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies.
Your Profile
* You must be a Mount Isa local or currently reside in Mount Isa.
* Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.
* Demonstrated previous experience with Trucks, Loaders, and Drilling mobile mining equipment would be advantageous.
* Strong and proven safety culture.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong customer service focus and motivation to achieve targets and goals.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrate initiative.
* Basic computer literacy.
* Class C Manual Driver's License.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks, and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.
