Work with one of the largest Local Governments in Australia, a leading employer on the Sunshine Coast Region with an prospect for a Coordinator of Infrastructure Planning and Charges.
The branch is responsible for planning for sustainable transport outcomes; flooding and storm water management, managing infrastructure charges and the Local Government Infrastructure Plan. An opportunity to contribute to the development of the Council's 10-year Capital Works Program for the Region.
Your new role
- Leadership and a high level of support to the infrastructure planning and charges unit to enhance employee capabilities and engagement
- Contributing positively at an operational and strategic level to statutory compliance, policies, strategy, business, and operational plans and change management.
- Manage and co-ordinate the development, preparation and implementation of the Local Government Infrastructure Plan, part of the Local Government's planning scheme.
- Deliver best practice infrastructure policy, planning, strategy, and advice.
- Manage the process around the collection of infrastructure charges, ensuring total and timely collection is achieved and transactions loaded to the infrastructure charges register are accurately maintained.
What you'll need to succeed
- Recognised formal qualification and equivalent experience in Engineering.
- Experienced in integrated transport, civil infrastructure, land use planning, development management of Local Government Infrastructure Plans and associated charges.
- Experience in working with and understanding the overall structure and operation of a large local government, it's role in infrastructure planning, funding and delivery of infrastructure networks and its role in growth management processes.
