Role Overview
This is a senior strategic role focused on public policy development—not compliance. You'll work at the intersection of financial services, government, and regulatory bodies, driving policy outcomes that impact the industry.
* Lead development of public policy submissions to government
* Analyse regulatory proposals and advise on strategic responses
* Build and maintain relationships with Treasury, APRA, ASIC, and state departments
* Represent the organisation in policy forums and industry consultations
* Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders across legal, risk, and strategy
* Contribute to thought leadership and advocacy initiatives
Skills & Experience
* Deep understanding of financial markets and regulatory frameworks
* Experience in public policy development within government or financial services
* Strong relationships with regulators and government departments
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Background in Treasury, APRA, ASIC, or similar policy-focused agency
* Ability to influence and navigate complex stakeholder environments
* Experience writing formal submissions and policy papers
