Cloud Security & Resilience Engineer Security | DR | Resilience | AWS & Azure – ContractWe're seeking experienced Cloud Security and Resilience professionals to support a large‐scale government cloud environment across AWS and Azure.This role spans cloud security operations, policy‐as‐code, disaster recovery and resilience engineering, supporting secure, compliant and highly available platforms in a regulated environment.Locations:Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, AdelaideStart:Mid‐June 2026Engagement:ContractClearance:AGSVA Baseline / NV1 / NV2 (mandatory)Citizenship:Australian CitizenCloud Security Engineer ResponsibilitiesOperate and uplift cloud security posture across AWS and AzureManage CSPM and CWPP tooling, dashboards and remediation activitiesAssess environments against Australian Government frameworks (ISM, PSPF)Develop and enforce policy‐as‐code using Azure Policy, AWS Config and TerraformEmbed security controls into CI/CD and platform workflowsSupport audits, assurance activities and continuous security upliftKey experience – Cloud Security EngineerStrong hands‐on experience with AWS & Azure security servicesCSPM / CWPP platforms and cloud‐native security toolingPolicy‐as‐code and IaC security controlsTranslating security findings into actionable remediationCloud Resilience & Disaster Recovery Engineer ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement multi‐region HA/DR architecturesBuild and automate disaster recovery runbooks and recovery testingImplement backup, restore and immutable data protection strategiesDevelop DR patterns, recovery automation and monitoringSupport resilience uplift initiatives across cloud platformsWork within strict change control and governance frameworksKey experience – Cloud Resilience & DRCloud resilience and DR engineering in AWS and/or AzureInfrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep)Automated DR testing and backup strategiesWhat we're looking for (overall)5‐10+ years' experience in cloud security, resilience or DR rolesStrong hands‐on experience with AWS and/or AzureInfrastructure as Code and automation experienceUnderstanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem)Comfortable working in government or highly regulated environmentsTalented, committed, can‐do individuals have always been the cornerstone of this dynamic organisation.
