About the role
We are currently seeking a Team Leader – Value Add Facility to join our Processing team at the Carina West Processing Facility. This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the value-add almond processing area, ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently achieved.
You will lead a team responsible for processing and packaging almonds while coordinating production schedules and maintaining efficient workflow across the facility. This position operates on a 4 on, 4 off roster, supporting the continuous operation of the processing facility, and is well suited to an experienced team leader or supervisor with a background in manufacturing or food processing who enjoys leading people and driving continuous improvement.
What you'll do
* Coordinate and implement production schedules to meet operational deadlines.
* Lead and supervise team members to achieve production, quality and safety targets.
* Ensure products are produced and packaged to the required quality standards.
* Monitor production efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate production and inventory records.
* Ensure facilities, plant and equipment are maintained and operated according to manufacturer specifications.
* Manage stock levels of packaging materials and coordinate ordering when required.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, particularly Work Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, HACCP and SQF standards.
What we're looking for
* Previous manufacturing or processing experience.
* Demonstrated leadership or team supervision experience.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Good computer literacy and experience maintaining operational records.
* Current forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
* Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
* Ability to work collaboratively with managers, staff and contractors.
* Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards and operational excellence.
