About the School
Halls Creek District High School (DHS) is located in the Central Kimberley Region between Broome and Kununurra. The school serves about 320 students, 98 % of whom are Aboriginal, from Halls Creek and surrounding communities such as Mardiwaah Loop, Nicholson Block, Koongie Park Station and Lamboo Station. DHS has a culture of high expectations, high care and is part of the Kimberley Schools Project.
The Role
As a secondary generalist teacher you will design and deliver a differentiated curriculum aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum, support all learners and work collaboratively with school and community stakeholders. You will be expected to:
Plan, deliver and assess curriculum across the secondary range.
Use evidence-based strategies to differentiate lessons for diverse learning needs.
Reflect on practice, engage in professional learning and apply research to improve outcomes.
Build positive relationships with students, parents and community members.
Serve as a role model for the school's values, ethos and priorities.

Teachers and School Administrators at DHS in **** are eligible for a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of (pa, gross – pro-rata for FTE and tenure). The incentive is paid in two instalments; the remainder is paid at the end of the school year, provided staff remain employed until then. Eligible staff may also receive HELP/HECS assistance if working in a very remote location.
Eligibility
Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.

Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department's Screening Unit before starting.
