Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist is required for a medical facility. This role involves assisting cardiologists and cardiac surgeons in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. The technologist will measure cardiovascular parameters, operate electronic instruments, and calculate hemodynamic data. They will also assist with insertion of catheters, operation of equipment, and calculation of cardiac function indices.
This position requires the ability to work independently, resolve complex patient management and physician issues, and maintain established policies and procedures. The technologist must also participate in the orientation and training of new employees and students, and demonstrate proficiency in complex clinical skills such as IABP, stents, DCA, PTCA's, Alblations, and Pacemakers. Additionally, they must be proficient in patient assessment, monitoring, and sterile technique, and respond appropriately and timely to patients, physicians, and other customers' needs.
The ideal candidate will have 6 months experience within an invasive cardiac catheterization laboratory and hold current registration as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or other relevant certification. They must also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
