Job Title: HSE Superintendent
Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Superintendent to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of employees and clients on various projects.
* We require an individual with strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Work, Health, and Safety, as well as extensive experience in the construction or mining industry.
* A current First Aid Certificate and the ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screen are also essential requirements.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and participate in HSE initiatives on site and throughout the organization.
2. Implement Primero HSE procedures and legislative requirements on site in accordance with the Primero project-specific HSE Management Plan.
3. Develop and update project-specific HSE plans as required.
4. Provide corporate HSE policies, procedures, and legal information to site teams.
5. Monitor project HSE performance through monthly reporting on HSE targets, objectives, and KPIs.
6. Assist with scheduled audits and assurance inspections on site and report any breaches, issues noncompliance, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure timely closeout.
7. Conduct monthly reviews of project risk assessments with the Project Management team.
8. C0ach and mentor HSE Advisors and Officers in incident investigations.
9. Develop HSE training to ensure all employees are aware of their HSE obligations - site inductions.
10. Lead incident investigations (5 Whys, and ICAM reports) and follow up to ensure all corrective actions are implemented and incidents are closed out in a timely manner.
11. Monitor client/site-specific HSE requirements including actions raised by the client.
12. Establish and monitor HSE registers.
13. Monitor and review employee Health Management Plans.
14. Liaise with the Primero Health Specialist regarding injured or ill employees in their fitness for duty and return-to-work plans.
15. Monitor and analyze HSE performance data to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
16. Support emergency response planning and ensure all personnel are trained in emergency procedures.
17. Stay updated with WHS legislative changes and industry best practices.

* Computer literate and appreciation of up-to-date and accurate record keeping.
* You have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage your own time and prioritize a demanding workload.
* Previous experience in FIFO work.
* National Police Clearance required.
* Demonstrate the Right to Work in Australia.
* Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screen.
