About the Opportunity
The Primary Care Project Manager drives strategic initiatives that integrate primary care across the cancer care continuum, delivering accessible, equitable, and value-based healthcare for improved cancer outcomes. This role leads planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects that align with Cancer Institute NSW and NSW Health priorities, ensuring strong governance, risk management, and performance. Working closely with Primary Health Networks and sector partners, the position champions collaboration and innovation in program design and delivery.

Essential Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, public health, health promotion, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience and training.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the primary health care sector and its role within the broader health system in relation to cancer control, including experience working within or alongside public sector agencies and health services.
* Proven experience in program or project management including application of project management principles and techniques, with the ability to analyse complex information, translate data and insights into actionable initiatives.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project milestones, deliverables and desired outcomes.
* Strong understanding of equity, inclusion, and the social determinants of health including strategies to achieve equitable outcomes and closing the gap priorities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander communities.
* Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and build capability through training, mentoring, and resource development to support meaningful consumer participation.
Pre-Screening Questions
* Briefly outline the role of the primary health care sector and how it intersects across the cancer continuum. In your answer describe what you see as the key challenges facing the primary care sector in achieving equitable cancer outcomes and how you might address these challenges.
* Provide an example where you applied project management principles to deliver a cancer control or population health initiative. Describe your role in the initiative, your approach, how you analysed complex information, and how you turned insights into actions and results.
