Workfast is seeking a Mechanical Fitter - System Technician for our valued client based at Perth Airport, WA.
This role presents a unique opportunity to apply your mechanical trade skills in a specialised airside environment, where you'll play a key part in maintaining and optimising the performance of essential airport systems, including automated baggage handling and passenger boarding bridges, to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.

* ROSTER: 2 Days on, 2 Nights on / 4 Days off
* 12‐Hour Shifts
* Work airside with a respected industry provider
* $60.00 Per Hour + Penalties
What you need:
* Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
* Australian Driver's Licence
* CPR / LVR certification (desirable)
* Previous experience with preventative maintenance schedules
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Broad understanding of baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges
* Strong mechanical diagnostic and system testing skills
* Ability to pass airport clearance and work safely in an airside environment
What you will be doing:
* Working airside at Perth Airport on baggage handling and control systems
* Performing preventative maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown repairs
* Bearing, roller, and conveyor changeouts as required
* Inspecting, testing, and modifying mechanical systems and components
* Using diagnostic software and mechanical drawings to resolve faults efficiently
* Ensuring high standards of safety and operational compliance
