Work as a skilled Trainer to deliver in-house training and verification of competence in key skills areas at DP World Brisbane.

The role involves leading the delivery of training directly coordinated by our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and through our team of qualified vocational trainers onsite. The Specialist - Training will ensure that our stevedore workforce remains skilled and competent, developing new talent to meet future needs.

To achieve this goal, we need someone who can manage training records accurately and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should be able to engage with operations to meet operational demands and oversee VOC projects while managing training records and certification compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading skills development and training initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Engaging with operations to meet operational demands and overseeing VOC projects.
* Managing training records and certification compliance.

The successful candidate must have relevant qualifications, industry experience, and proven experience in designing, developing, and modifying training courses tailored to operational needs.

Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking. This role requires Maritime Security Clearance and Australian residency and working rights prior to application.


The following are the essential qualifications and skills required for this role:

* Relevant qualifications – Cert IV in Training & Assessment (40122) is mandatory, and qualifications in Crane Operations, Lashing, Cargo Care, or Clerical skills are desirable.
* Industry experience – Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within an industrial environment, including training delivery, VOC, and record management.
* Training development – Proven experience in designing, developing, and modifying training courses tailored to operational needs.
* LMS proficiency – Extensive experience using Student/Learning Management Systems for tracking, reporting, and training administration.
* Training and assessment – Strong background as a workplace trainer and assessor, with up-to-date understanding of WHS and licensing regulations.
* Leadership and communication – Ability to lead, motivate, and engage stakeholders at all levels, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Technical and operational knowledge – Solid understanding of stevedoring operations, safety standards, and compliance within high-risk environments.
* Organisational and analytical skills – Strong problem-solving, prioritisation, attention to detail, and time management capabilities, with a results-driven mindset.
