Join a high-performing team at the centre of the ACT Government, where communications, community recognition and ceremonial traditions come together. We’re seeking an Assistant Director, Governance and Protocol to lead the Protocol, Honours and Awards team and drive best practice across the Communications and Engagement Division. In this senior role, you will oversee major awards programs, ceremonial events and protocol advice for the Chief Minister, provide strategic guidance to teams across government, and contribute to the broader Communications and Engagement outcomes. You will manage complex projects, build strong relationships across directorates and ministerial offices, and supervise staff in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Experience in Protocol, Honours and Awards, or Event Management is desirable. Previous experience supervising and leading staff is preferred. Notes: This is a temporary position available until 30 June 2026 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
