Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Labourer. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and moving livestock safely and humanely within the stockyard area, assisting with loading and unloading carcasses in the loadout area, scanning, weighing, and recording finished products accurately for traceability and inventory control, operating machinery and equipment efficiently in a fast-paced production environment, performing general labouring tasks such as trimming, sorting, or stacking products, operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move product and supplies safely, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of all work areas, following all workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and practices, working effectively as part of a team to meet production targets and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Handling and moving livestock (cattle and/or sheep) safely and humanely within the stockyard area
* Assisting with loading and unloading carcasses in the loadout area, including pushing carcasses and manual lifting
* Scanning, weighing, and recording finished products accurately for traceability and inventory control
* Operating machinery and equipment efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
* Performing general labouring tasks such as trimming, sorting, or stacking products
* Operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment (where licensed) to move product and supplies safely
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of all work areas, including regular housekeeping duties
* Following all workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and practices
* Working effectively as part of a team to meet production targets and quality standards
Essential Skills And Experience
* A valid License and transportation
* Good organisational skills
* High level of self-motivation
* Forklift licence (advantageous)
