What you'll do:
* Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and sourcing ingredients and supplies.
* Overseeing the quality of dishes throughout preparation and final presentation.
* Collaborating with managers, dietitians, kitchen, and service staff on food preparation matters.
* Demonstrating culinary techniques and offering guidance on cooking methods.
* Carrying out food preparation and cooking duties.
* Explaining and ensuring adherence to hygiene and food safety standards.
* May be involved in recruiting and training kitchen staff.
* Occasionally responsible for freezing and storing food for preservation.
What we're looking for:
* Work Eligibility: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident preferred)
* Qualifications: At least Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
* Previous experience: At least 2 years working as a Chef
* Language: Conversant in English
* Literate and tech-savvy - you'll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths and computer skills
* Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
