Overview
The Clarence and Eastern Continuing Care Team is an Adult Mental Health Team covering the Clarence and Eastern vicinity of Tasmania. We are a multi-disciplinary team working alongside our consumers to provide holistic, recovery-focused mental health care. All services work closely together to deliver excellence in healthcare and improve outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
Responsibilities
Note: Specific selection criteria are addressed in the Statement of Duties attached to this role.
Requirements (Qualifications and Experience)
* Extensive experience in and comprehensive knowledge of clinical nursing practice in a variety of settings, with at least five years post-graduate clinical nursing experience directly applicable to Mental Health settings.
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and awards, including the Mental Health Act, Right to Information Act, Work Health and Safety Act and relevant statutory requirements and departmental procedures and policies.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, and the proven ability to work constructively as part of a multidisciplinary team at both service and community levels.
Details of appointment
Permanent, full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant. This selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies for a period of twelve months from the date of publication.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary packaging is available and a range of benefits apply. The salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Additional allowances may include a Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Benefits include:

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet essential criteria.
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse with specialist tertiary graduate or post-graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or equivalent registration from eligible jurisdictions.
* Current Driver's Licence.
Desirable criteria include extensive psychiatric nursing experience or credentialing, and ongoing or completed relevant tertiary qualifications.
