JBS Carriers is the dedicated transport and logistics division of JBS Australia. We support JBS operations through an integrated and efficient logistics network, from livestock transport through to the distribution of finished products across Australia. About the Role
As a Driver with JBS Carriers, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of livestock and products across regional and long‐haul routes.
Responsibilities
* Safely transporting company goods and livestock between JBS sites and external locations
* Transporting livestock in accordance with animal welfare standards, relevant livestock loading schemes and JBS Australia transport requirements
* Operating prime movers and associated equipment efficiently and safely
* Completing daily pre‐start checks and basic vehicle inspections prior to operation
* Complying with Australian Road Transport Requirements, NHVR regulations and Chain of Responsibility obligations
* Operating in line with fatigue management requirements, including Basic Fatigue Management where applicable
* Adhering to workplace health and safety, environmental and biosecurity requirements at all times
* Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting as required
* Working collaboratively as part of a professional transport team
* Being available to work across a rotating roster, including weekends where required
Qualifications
* A current HC or MC driver licence or equivalent heavy vehicle licence recognised in Australia
* Previous heavy vehicle driving experience, with MC experience highly regarded
* Livestock transport or livestock handling experience highly regarded
* A sound traffic history report
* A strong safety mindset and professional work ethic
* Basic Fatigue Management certification or willingness to obtain
* Physical capability to safely undertake manual tasks, including climbing ladders and loading or unloading livestock
* Flexibility to work across a seven day roster
