Medical receptionist required to work in our GP Medical Centre In Geelong, Victoria.
Key Responsibilities:
* Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone.
* Collect and verify patient information, insurance details accurately.
* Maintain organized patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Assist patients with filling out necessary forms and paperwork.
* Handle incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Manage administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, data entry, billing and insurance payments.
* Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient flow and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role desirable.
* Previous experience with Best Practice medical software desirable but not essential.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Empathetic and patient-oriented approach to patient care.
* Knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage.
* knowledge of Excel and Microsoft applications would be beneficial.
* Flexibility to work a rostered schedule.
