As a Industrial Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's future by leading and project managing all change related projects including restructures and organizational reviews. This includes providing guidance on process steps, information on legislative requirements and templates for employee and union correspondence.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing industrial risk, gauging and pre-empting union responses and advising on potential response options for the business. They will also assist the EGM with organizational structures and restructures, own the annual salary review and BOOT assessment processes, and be responsible for all unfair dismissal applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Project management of EA negotiations and assisting the EGM in negotiation meetings
* Drafting EA clauses where needed and conversing with the union
* Assisting the EGM with organizational structures and restructures
* owning the annual salary review and BOOT assessment processes
* Responsibility for all unfair dismissal applications – preparation of paperwork & representation in conciliations
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 5-8 years of generalist HR experience in a blue-collar environment
* A minimum of 5 years in an employee relations/industrial relations position OR minimum of 5 years in an HR position exposed to high volume ER cases & union activity
* Experience assisting in enterprise bargaining negotiations and drafting of agreement clauses
* Experience in unfair dismissal preparation and representation in FW conciliations
* Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Relations
