* Multiple Roles
* SA Based NEDs
North Eastern Community Hospital Inc. (NECH) is a not-for-profit community owned organisation that incorporates acute care and aged care under one roof. As a not-for-profit organisation, it returns all profits to the communities it serves by updating equipment, upgrading its facilities and technology, developing new services, and investing in its staff. Established in 1973 on the initiative of a small number of medical practitioners and two local councils, the North Eastern Community Hospital houses 60 acute bed licenses, 6 Day Surgery chairs and an aged care facility of 84 beds. Other facilities include private accommodation, two operating theatres and two special procedure suites.
The Board, working closely with the CEO, ensures their vision and passion for the organisation is realised within a structure of sound governance and leadership, financial sustainability and the highest standards of client safety and quality. With a focus on the future strategy, it's an opportune time to come on board to further enhance the Board's skills composition.
Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified SA Based professionals, who have demonstrated Board experience, within large, complex and highly regulated organisations, particularly through periods of transformational change. Specifically, we are looking for experienced Directors with skills in any of the following areas:
* Strategic Business and Commercial acumen
* Aged Care Clinical Governance (particularly application and oversight of Aged Care Quality Standards)
* Senior acute care clinical governance experience (eg. Senior medical officer/clinician or highly experienced health practitioner)
In addition to the above skills, applicants should have well developed governance skills, astute financial and commercial acumen and exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills. With bi-monthly board meetings and committees on which Directors participate, the role requires candidates who are available to actively participate in the Board's calendar, including attendance at an annual full-day strategic planning session.
AICD credentials are highly desirable, and the positions are remunerated.
