We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer who will hold a senior technical positionandbe part of the Wagners Composite Fibre Technologies group. You will oversee the development, improvement and optimization of manufacturing processes, plant and equipment. This position manages a team to deliver both continual improvements as well as an exciting capital works program.
This is a full-time position with a competitive remuneration package including base salary + superannuation.
Main Responsibilities
Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste. This includes business case, design and implementation of mechanical improvements to existing and new plant and equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain
Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Manage, train and mentor junior engineers and drafting technicians to ensure deliverables are achieved in accordance with business priorities
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Provide technical leadership and support to production teams on development of processes and systems
Project management of the delivery of projects ranging from minor mechanical/ electrical improvements to large scale procurement and commissioning
Oversee delivery of capital works program
About You
To be successful in this role you need:
Previous experience in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering
Strong leadership and communication skills
Expertise in manufacturing processes, equipment and tools
Proven experience in problem solving and data analytics
Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and projects
Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar other engineering tools
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
