Job Title
A Drainage Engineering and Development Manager is sought to lead a skilled team, drive strategic planning, and oversee capital works aligned with climate resilience and urban design.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Drainage and Development team, ensuring high-quality service and operational excellence
* Oversee drainage assessments for development proposals, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation
* Coordinate drainage investigations, capital works, and maintenance programs aligned with strategic goals
* Provide expert advice on stormwater, WSUD, flood mitigation, and long-term asset planning
* Manage consultants and contractors to deliver projects that meet Council expectations
* Build strategic partnerships and promote innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement in drainage practices
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
* A valid engineering registration in accordance with Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019
* Extensive practical experience in drainage networks and stormwater management, design, and modeling
* Proven complex project management skills, including budget management
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
