Green by Nature is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Horticultural Estimator to join our team. In this role, you’ll oversee the full estimating process — from initial bid preparation through to final submission — across maintenance and service-based contracts in the landscape and horticulture sectors.

What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing accurate cost estimates for horticultural and landscape maintenance contractsCompleting quantity take-offs and analysing specifications to determine labour, materials, and time requirementsWorking closely with Operations Managers and our bid services team to produce high-quality estimate documentationReviewing subcontractor pricing and negotiating competitive ratesStaying informed on industry trends, market pricing, and maintenance operationsPresenting bids for internal approval and participating in review meetingsCoordinating multiple stakeholders throughout the bid processTracking bid outcomes and identifying improvement opportunities
What You’ll Bring
5+ years’ estimating experience, ideally in horticulture, landscape maintenance, or facilities managementProven background preparing commercial or government tendersStrong technical understanding of horticultural and landscape maintenance operationsIn-depth knowledge of estimating methods, pricing structures, and data analysisAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel and tendering/estimating softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organisational capabilityAbility to manage competing deadlines and multiple projectsStrategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsTertiary qualification in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, Business, or a related field (desirable)
