We are currently seeking a customer focused and experienced Library Customer Service Officer to join our team on a part-time basis, working 32 hours per week across Monday to Saturday. In this role, you will provide high-quality customer service and support the community's use of library resources, technology, digital platforms, and participation in literacy and learning programs.
Responsibilities
* Delivering excellent customer service at library branches, outreach locations, and community events, ensuring all visitors enjoy a welcoming and engaging library experience.
* Assisting customers in making full use of library resources, equipment, technology, and online services through proactive engagement and support.
* Maintaining the library's customer service areas, including shelving returned items, tidying shelves, updating noticeboards, and refreshing promotional displays and exhibitions.
* Undertaking a range of duties including rostered desk shifts, evenings, and Saturdays across any Cessnock City Library branch.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Library and Information Services, Customer Engagement, Business Administration, or a related field, along with public library experience.
* Strong accountability, proactivity, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential for success.
* You should be committed to delivering high quality customer service, ensuring users feel supported and engaged.
Remuneration & Benefits
* Remuneration: $61,433 - $71,133 per annum plus superannuation
* Part-time, 32 hours per week
* 13% superannuation
