As a Meat Cutter, you play a vital role in providing our customers with high-quality meat products. Your key responsibilities include cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, wrapping, bagging, pricing, prefabricating, dating, labeling, scaling, merchandising, selling, and serving customers in accordance with company standards.
Some of your tasks include:
* Performing tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, wrapping, bagging, pricing, prefabricating, dating, labeling, scaling, merchandising, selling, serving customers, and other functions in accordance with company policies.
* Keeping department temperature logs accurately updated and maintained.
* Stocking and displaying meat items safely and in accordance with company standards.
* Checking product quality; making sure it is rotated properly and fresh.
* Keeping sales areas, backrooms, coolers clean and well organized.
* Keeping carts, tools, and supplies in their designated areas and well organized.
* Keeping floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
* Providing good customer and associate relations; communicating effectively with customers and fellow associates.
* Unloading trucks, sorting orders, and placing them in the proper cooler location.
* Washing and sanitizing equipment in accordance with company and health department policies and procedures.
* Making a friendly impression on customers; greeting customers and providing them with good quality foods.
* Increasing store sales and profits in conjunction with retail operations and marketing programs.
* Being prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
* Adhering to company policies and procedures, ensuring a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
* Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
* Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
