About the role
The Adviser - Philanthropic Giving ensures the management and growth of the donor-led Society of Women Leaders (SWL) giving circle. SWL is a movement of highly engaged philanthropic women who contribute their funds and time to support the work of Red Cross. Together with key SWL stakeholders, the role will work to ensure an ongoing approved SWL strategy and calendar of activity to achieve maximum fundraising performance and member engagement.
Day to day, you will
- Ensure strategic relationship management with SWL as a partner (e.g. through SWL’s National Executive team) as well as with SWL members individually, so as to identify, progress and secure all opportunities for growth.
- Develop and execute strategies and annual plans to devise and execute SWL program objectives and outcomes in collaboration with relevant SWL stakeholders
- Act as Australian Red Cross’ primary representative at SWL meetings functions and events, as required and reasonable.
- Contribute to budget setting, forecasting and review of income and expenditure in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Philanthropic Giving.
- Lead the development of, facilitate, and distribute communications, publicity activity, and fit-for-purpose collateral such as digital newsletters, and supported by the Australian Red Cross Marketing and Creative teams.
- Provide organisational and administrative support to the SWL Chair(s) as necessary to ensure delivery of a successful program of annual SWL events.
- Work with internal Australian Red Cross people (staff, senior managers, volunteers and members) as needed to develop donor centric propositions (e.g. speakers for events, program reporting, program images and more)
- Work across the broader partnerships team to support other activity as required.
What you will bring
- Superior organisational, administrative and presentation skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong experience in areas such as relationship management, event management, philanthropy, and fundraising
- High level of interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Substantial knowledge, understanding and experience of planning and delivering events.
- Proven ability to build strong and positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders and influence outcomes.
